Writing is indeed strange

Yes indeed! It is maddening, frustrating and wonderful. It is marvellous, heartwarming and irritating.

But yes, most of all perhaps, it is strange.

I don’t think there’s anything quite like inventing a sequence of ideas, translating them to words in your head, writing them down, either by hand or through a keyboard – using squiggly symbols of ancient origin – and then passing these thoughts on to others to decode, enabling your original pictures and thoughts and ideas to be passed from your mind unto another. 

Truly, strangely, magical.
