WIP TKTowers 17.01.18 1616 Words

The following was originally posted on my Not A Travel Writer sub-tumblr. As tumblr dies following its ridiculous self-destruction, I have decided to correlate all my previous posts, from several places, here. It makes sense and, crucially, means I own my content. In theory, it also means it cannot be removed by anyone else.

WIP TKTOWERS. This was, again, in two half hour sessions (along with a list of other ideas as long as my leg, I would quite like to detail MY process for writing in an essay/post at some point – if only for myself, to see how it developed and how it may change still, over time).

Definitely reaching the pointy end of this tale, although I think my estimate of circa 30k words may be a little under for this draft – revising this, I suspect it might reach 33k or thereabouts. With redrafting and edits I expect the finish novella to be more than 35k (my first drafts always include a plethora of “TK” notes, things to check and add in with redrafting – keeps the process flowing faster this way).

Now to work on other things. I really do wonder where the time goes, sometimes.

I should also note that I am enjoying this winter weather – no change in daylight hours, to speak of, 32 degrees Celsius in the day, 16 or so at night, with full sun. Soon the pollution will build as the big agricorps burn more jungle for their corn, then blame the hilltribes for the smoke. But, at this moment, the climate is pretty good.

I am also healing, following my recent illness, which is something I NEVER take for granted. Health is remarkable, and I am always thankful for it.
