The following was originally posted on my Not A Travel Writer sub-tumblr. As tumblr dies following its ridiculous self-destruction, I have decided to correlate all my previous posts, from several places, here. It makes sense and, crucially, means I own my content. In theory, it also means it cannot be removed by anyone else.

The ninth day of writing and I estimate the first draft will indeed be complete within 10k words. Then it shall be left for a wee while whilst I redraft TKBaby. My goals for these four novellas (and bonus materials) have slightly altered, and I am now relatively certain I shall release them individually, then bundled into pairs, with bonus material. Finally, at some point perhaps next year, I shall release a box set, as it were, with all the bonus material and extra-juicy extras too. The first novella is already undergoing translation to French, and I am considering recording audio versions too. We shall see.
Principally, however, I want to get these done and out the way, so I can return to the final edit of The Care Industry, in order to send it out to agents next year, hopefully within the second quarter. It has been long enough now and I am confident in my words and confident in my story enough to believe this is a timely story.
My throat and ears feel almost 100% normal today, which is grand. Only one more antimicrobial to take — then the process of drinking kombucha, yoghurts, etc in order to restore my gut flora and fauna. On this topic, I’m about to read Gut, by Giulia Enders, and rather looking forward to it.
