The following was originally posted on my Not A Travel Writer sub-tumblr. In theory, it also means it cannot be removed by anyone else.

I always enjoy setting up a scene, building a sense of comfort and belonging, before stripping that away later. This story is the perfect example of this — the longer novella with the central character within starts with fear and moves into terror. This is different, soothing, relaxing — then I shall rip that up. Of course, there are hints hither and thither, just to keep the reader guessing. It is fun.
In other news, we are considering spending spring in Europe in 2019, rather than visiting in high summer as originally planned. There are a couple of reasons for this and we are not 100% sure of times and scales, but spring is my favourite season in a temperate environment, so it should be fun. We are looking at housesitting, or spending some time in the mountains, as well as visiting family. Watch this space.
Listening to Eat the Elephant, by A Perfect Circle, love this album and this band. Powerful, masterful songwriting.
