Friday Photo #6 Reiss Beach, With Haar and Dog
Today, the 15th of July 2016, marks the point where I have 300 days until I turn 40. Those of you who have been following my ongoing series, Thirty-Nine Steps, will know that I have chosen my 40th birthday as an arbitrary date to try and arrive at a point where I am ready for the next chapter in my life. It is simply a deadline of sorts, something I can use to apply focus, a beacon in the mist.
As I have mentioned, and keep mentioning, I shall soon be sharing some photos and thoughts on “Places”. These will perhaps not follow a traditional method of information relay, instead I am seeking to mix more prosaic discussion of walks and destinations with musings on more lateral themes, such as the connection with the haar that rolls in suddenly, turning a blazing hot day into one of strange shapes in the mist, odd noises, things-you-are-not-quite-sure-of moving behind and through tendrils of clinging cold damp. Here is a taster of this beautifully ethereal phenomenon.
